Climate, community, arts to fore

More than 200 people took part, most of them online, in a symposium devoted to climate change, community and research in the creative arts, at the Dunedin School of Art at Otago Polytechnic at the weekend.

The ‘‘Mapping the Anthropocene in Otepoti/Dunedin’’ symposium also included a large art exhibition titled ‘‘The Complete Entanglement of Everything’’.

Pam McKinlay and Bridie Lonie co-ordinated the symposium.

Mrs McKinlay said 70 people had attended sessions at the school’s largest lecture space, while many others, including from other countries, had participated via Zoom.

The exhibition continues until Friday at the Dunedin School of Art.
