...who recently submitted his PhD thesis “Hope in the Anthropocene: Eco-Collectivism and Twenty-First-Century South Asian Novels in English.”

The thesis examines works by Aravind Adiga, Tahmima Anam, Amitav Ghosh, Arundhati Roy, and Indra Sinha, and uses Rakibul’s idea of “eco-collectivism,” which he explains here: https://shc.stanford.edu/arcade/interventions/hope-anthropocene-case-eco-collectivism
