'But then ... the almost true story of an overdue book'

Award winning author Swapna Haddow is celebrating the release of her first New Zealand picture book by visiting Dunedin Public Libraries over the next week.

First stop was the Blueskin Bay Library where Waitati School students joined in the fun with a game of ‘Is it true or a lie’. Then the kids were treated to a reading of Swapna's book, 'But then ... the almost true story of an overdue book' complete with puppets of the main animal characters. This was followed by a fun craft activity and the presentation of a copy of the book from Swapna to Waitati School.
