free us from the known;
leave thoughts unhindered
so we expand and grow.

Possibilities in the minds eye
lurking in darkest moments;
Surprising when all seems settled;
appearing at unexpected ends.

Possibilities evident to children
are often hidden from adults.
Only artists keep child eyes
peeled for this amazing moment.

Possibilities are needed
so hope thrives;
traps can be opened;
new life springs forth.

Possibilities are part of our
deepest self, rarely visited.
The way too hard;
letting go too much

Possibilities appear
when we contemplate
the night universe;
unfurling fern fronds

Possibilities are present
at birth, in the gaze
of infants and mothers;
in the tears of fathers.

Possibilities are there
as the last breath
is drawn ending
earthly existence.

Possibilities always
are part of grief.
Remembering all
for reconnection.
