Posted: Monday Mar 28, 2022
Rugby legends, muttonbirders, marae stalwarts, lawyers, wahine toa and many more feature in Tangata Ngai Tahu, Volume Two. The book brings together the stories of some 50 people spanning the past 200 years and how they contributed to their iwi, hapu and whanau. All are descendants of Waitaha, Ngati Mamoe and Ngai Tahu. Helen Brown is one of the book's editors and she talks about the emphasis on mana wahine and what it took to gather such a rich and diverse range of material.
