TE HONO: CONNECTION is returning in 2025

We’re calling for applications from playwrights to undertake an online partnership with a script advisor to develop a new script - at whatever stage it is currently in.

For Te Hono : Connection we will select ten playwrights’ projects and match them with a script advisor. We will pay the selected playwrights and script advisors sixteen hours each of online contact time to help towards the process of developing a script. The process will take place over a period of up to three months.

Send a one-page outline of your current or future project, speaking to what you’d like to achieve with this process. If you haven’t submitted your biography to Playmarket in recent years, please include an overview of your writing experience.

Send submissions to shane@playmarket.org.nz by 28 April and we will pair selected playwrights with a script advisor. The programme itself will run from early June.
