Poems in the Waiting Room (NZ) and Mercy Healthcare invited ten artists to create an original artwork in response to 10 supplied poems.

The resulting artworks will feature in the exhibition PoARTry@Mercy - in the foyer at Mercy Hospital from August 19 - August 31.

Artworks have been photographed and created in to PoARTry postcards. 

On National Poetry Day, Friday August 23, each inpatient at Mercy will receive one of ten available PoARTry postcards on their lunch time meal tray.  With a poem on one side, and a photo on the reverse, the postcards are for the patients to enjoy, share with visitors, or post to friends.
