In this presentation, renowned artist and lighting designer David Trubridge will talk about his influences and processes. He draws on his experiences as a sailor—he and his family sailed to Aotearoa on their yacht ‘Hornpipe’—and as a lover of wilderness. He looks at how the Pacific changed his Eurocentric view of the world, and he suggests ways design might tackle the many crises of today.
