Writing grief is messy and complex but often, it’s how young writers enter the arts. 2024 Guest Curator Ruby Macomber (Rotuma, Ngāpuhi) talks to Ōtepoti literary legends Rushi Vyas (South Asia, US) and Iona Winter (Waitaha, Kāi Tahu) on how to sit in the splatter when nothing makes sense after losing a loved one. They’ll unpack how writers can share grief safely, the possibilities in autoethnography, and the power that’s possible when we pen-the-personal to the page.
