Book Launch & Reading: The Butterfly Fluttered By, by Kate Preece

Join award-winning author Kate Preece for a special story time to celebrate the launch of her third children’s book, The Butterfly Fluttered By, which features the insects of Rēkohu Chatham Island.

Kate will also be reading a book she released earlier this year: Ten Nosey Weka, the first trilingual counting book featuring te reo Māori and ta rē Moriori. The story follows ten weka as they explore Rēkohu and get distracted by all sorts of interesting encounters.

This event is being offered alongside the exhibition Hou Rongo – Moriori | Music | Manawa, which will feature in the Beautiful Science Gallery from 14 September – 27 October.
